ALIVE IN THE SPIRIT

Filled with all the fullness of God

This programme (which we ran at ADoRE in 2021) follows the stages of a classic “Life in the Spirit” seminar series, exploring how the Holy Spirit inspires and empowers us to be missionary disciples.

It can be used to run a Life in the Spirit course in your parish - see suggestions below.

We are grateful to Yvonne Bell for allowing us to use her painting "Blessed Trinity" in our publicity for this year's programme. Information: christian-art.vpweb.co.uk

 Key Scripture: Mark 1:8

"He will baptise you with the

Holy Spirit...”

This programme was designed and conducted in response to the following appeal by Pope Francis:

"I ask each and all of you that, as part of the current of grace of Charismatic Renewal, you organise seminars of Life in the Spirit in your parishes"

Overview:

Jesus instructed the Church to share his Good News with the world; but he knew that Christians would need supernatural power to enable them to do this, so he promised to baptise them in the Holy Spirit. The Church today needs to experience this power just as the first disciples did.

"I would ask you to share baptism in the Holy Spirit with everyone in the Church...." - Pope Francis
